Buttermilk Sky Entertainment
Needing a quick turn around time. I still dove into some research. The client was not familiar with the term Buttermilk sky is a way to describe a meteorological occurrence, referring to a sky filled with small, dappled white clouds. The client had inherited the name of the company and had gone a more literal and was led to a buttermilk milk carton direction before that didn't work for them. I loved point to the beauty of the sky and it this reminded immediately of a painting I saw as a child at the Chicago Institute of Art. Inspired by "Sky Above Clouds" series of Paintings (1960–1977) by Georgia O'Keeffe we wanted a similar boundless space.
I design an updated logo for Lea Thompson's Production company BUTTERMILK SKY ENTERTAINMENT.
